I’ve finally got the new wheels and snows on just in time for actual snow.
This shot is a couple days old, there’s actually snow now
I went heavy on the sidewall, because I like sidewall. After getting them on, I think it it’s become obvious that the center caps really are necessary. I just can’t understand why it’s $25 a pop for little circles of plastic.

Find out what size you need and buy some cheap ones off ebay? i think it’s like 20$ for 4 with manufacturer center print

Yeah, I might go that way. There was a decent set on there, that had a blue Enkei symbol as an option. Still $50 for a set, but it does save about half.

I love the look of meaty tires

Me too. I was tempted to go even further. These are 215/55R16, I wanted to go 225/55R16, but I chickened out for fear of getting brand new tires that rub.

I’m a sucker for the hobo chic look, so the lack of center caps never bugged me. I do love the rpf though. They are le sex. Actually I love sidewall as well. Keeps the car looking purposeful (and to a lesser extent being purposeful).

So do you legit have one of the electric bikes? I’m becoming more envious by the moment...

Same. I went with 225/55/17s on a Focus ST. I love the bit of mad maxian look you can get with chunky wheels and tires. Plus it makes it real easy to drive through small ruts and bumps you might not see due to snow and ice. You just feel a dull *thoomp* and that’s the end of it.

My Dad ran 205/55R16 Hakkapeliitta 8s on his 2013 BRZ and they made it look like a proper little rally car. No way they were going to fit over the brakes on the new 2017 so they now get put on my sisters Impreza.

Yes, I legit have one . Since May 2016. It’s been very good, only one weird issue, as outlined in a previous post. Also, support from the manufacturer is sloooow , I think because they may just be a dozen guys in a warehouse somewhere.
